The Athens County Engineer, Jeff Maiden, will be accepting applications for the position of MECHANIC. Completion of high school education and five (5) years’ work experience in automotive/construction equipment repair required. Applicant must: provide and maintain a complete set of mechanic’s tools; possess a valid Ohio driver’s license; maintain insurability under the County’s vehicle insurance policy; possess a valid State of Ohio Commercial Driver’s License, Class A with Air Brakes and Tanker Endorsements. Applicants should be in good physical condition and will be required to submit to drug/alcohol testing, background check and a physical. Rate of pay is based on a four-step scale ranging from $19.01-$22.16, based on experience. Generous benefits package including health, dental, vision, and vacation/sick/personal time.
