The Athens County Engineer, Jeff Maiden, will be accepting applications for Financial Business Manager. This is a full-time position designated as unclassified as defined in ORC 124.11 (A)(8). Job duties include supporting the department operations by organizing office operations and procedures; planning and implementing office systems, and equipment procurement. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word- Excel-Outlook) and critical thinking/problem solving skills required. Basic knowledge of accounting for payroll preparation, paying bills, assisting in the preparation of an annual budget, and analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions. Assign and monitoring clerical functions. Develop and monitor procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records; updating the engineer’s website; maintaining appointment log and travel schedule; sets up meetings and conferences; handles routine administrative duties. Provides general information to staff members, government officials, consultants, department heads, and the general public. Applicants must have the equivalent of 10 years of relevant experience and 2 year associate degree (minimum). Salary commensurate with experience.
