In February 2019 the Alan Stone Company began work on a slip repair on County Road 30- Hocking Parkway. This road weaves in and out of Nelsonville city limits and this particular section of the road belongs to Athens County. The project consisted of the removal and replacement of 20.74 CY of embankment, 1.42 CY asphalt chip seal and 2.93 CY of shoulder gravel; the placement of a 60 LF drilled shaft wall and 75 LF of guardrail.  The total construction cost of this project was $116,652.
