In mid-May 2019 the county contracted out four slip repairs to the Alan Stone Company, two on Dutch Creek Road and two on New England Road. This featured slip repair at the 2.66 mile marker was a result of a 40’ long slip at the edge of the Dutch Creek Road. The solution was to build a 60’ long drilled shaft wall with lagging (i.e.,tie the wall 10′ into stable ground at each end) and add 100′ of guardrail. The total construction cost for this particular slip repair was $53,394.
