TR 27- Gun Club Road Bridge Replacement

In June 2019 county crews began work on a bridge replacement on Waterloo Township’s Gun Club Road. The 10’ x 5’ precast concrete box culvert was designed and installed by Scioto Valley Precast. The total cost of the project came to $93,083.

CR 9- Salem Road Bridge Replacement

In early May 2019 county crews began work on a bridge replacement on Salem Road.  The 8’ x 4’ precast concrete box culvert was designed and installed by Lindsay Precast.   The total cost of the project came to $94,288.

TR 181-0.25 Wildman Road Bridge Replacement

In mid-April 2019 county crews began work on a box culvert replacement project on Wildman Road in Troy Township.  The old box culvert had exceeded its useful life decades ago.  After the old bridge was removed we excavated and hammered out the rock bottom then formed and poured concrete footers and placed a limestone sub-grade between footers.  The 8’ x 4’ precast concrete box culvert was designed and installed by Lindsay Precast.   The total cost of the project came to $94,526.

CR 34- Mush Run Road Bridge Replacement

In late March 2019, county crews began work on a box culvert on County Road 34- Mush Run Road.  Scioto Valley Precast constructed and installed the 10’x 5’ precast box culvert.  McKee Paving milled the 70’x18’ area, installed 3” of asphalt and rolled for compaction then installed 1.5” of surface material and rolled to a smooth finish.  Lastly, guardrail was installed to complete the project. The total cost of the project came to $111,767.

TR 343- Linscott Run Road Bridge Replacement

The surveying, site planning and right-of-way width plans for this bridge replacement project on Ames Township Road 343 were done by the ACEO.  DGM Inc constructed the bridge and the final construction cost was $357,023 which was funded by the Ohio Department of Transportation.

CR 25- Rock Riffle Road Bridge Replacement

The surveying, site planning and ROW (right-of-way) plans for this bridge replacement project on Rock Riffle Road were performed by the ACEO.  The bridge was constructed by DGM Inc. with a final construction cost of $210,360.

CR 25- Long Run Road Bridge Replacement

This particular bridge replacement project was surveyed, designed and constructed by the ACEO.  We replaced a concrete slab bridge with a 12′ x 8′ concrete box culvert.  The total construction cost was $167,437, $89,500 of which was funded through an OPWC (Ohio Public Works Commission) grant.

CR 24- South Canaan Road Bridge Replacement

The surveying, site planning and ROW (right-of-way) plans for this bridge replacement project on South Canaan Road were performed by the ACEO.  The bridge was constructed by DGM Inc. with a final construction cost of $213,516 which was funded by ODOT.

CR 25- Rock Riffle Road Slip Repair

This project was part 3 of the ATH-CR20/VAR Landslide Repairs Project.   The project was located on CR 25- Rock Riffle Road, just south of the Stimson Avenue intersection (near Pallini Industries).  This project was surveyed and designed by the assistant engineer, Donnie Stevens.  It consisted of a 128′ long drilled shaft pier wall the final construction cost of $135,009.  The FHWA (Federal Highway Administration) Emergency Grant paid for 80% of the construction costs.

CR 20- Strouds Run Road Slip Repair Part 1

This project was completed in October 2017 and was part 1 of three slip repairs that were put out for bids as one project (ATH-CR20/VAR Landslide Repairs).  Bids were taken on August 8, 2017 and the Alan Stone Company was the low bidder at $344,334.  If you look closely at these photographs, you can see two previous generations of piling attempting to fix this slip in the past.  We take pride in doing it one time correctly.  The 136’ long drilled pier wall had a final construction cost of $129,640 80% of which was paid for by the FHWA (Federal Highway Administration).
